Linda Schumacher, 62, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died peacefully at her home in Kalkaska on May 3, 2011, with family and friends at her bedside after a short battle with cancer.
Linda was born on May 27, 1948 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of the late Jack and Rose (Beuker) Richmond. She moved to Kalkaska in 1989 with her son.
Linda married Larry Schumacher in 2009 and enjoyed working with him chiropractic practice. She also enjoyed renovating her home and collecting antiques.
Linda always had a project underway and never stopped moving to let the grass grow beneath her feet. She especially loved spending time with her husband, friends, and grandchildren. Linda will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Larry; her loving son, Jack (Jodie) Disbrow of Kalkaska; her precious grandchildren, Jakob, Jaxon, and Jordyn; and her dear brother, Michael (Karen) Richmond of Mt Pleasant.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and the father of her son, William Fitzgerald. A memorial will be held this summer.
