She was preceded in death by her parents Ronnie and Betty Heath, and brother Myke Heath. Linda was a graduate of Michigan Center High School class of 1968. In her younger years, Linda was active as a synchronized swimmer, played volleyball, was in a band, and always an avid crafter and lover of handmade wares. Known by many as Linda “Bead Happy!” Linda was a recent resident of the Jackson Friendly Home where she held the position of President of Resident Council. This role she took seriously as she advocated for the rights and needs of the Home’s residents and ensured that all women had a voice. Linda was a long time member of the Michigan Gem & Mineral Society and held various roles with the club over the years. Making and selling her jewelry at the shows each year was something she always looked forward to. Linda will best be known for her beaming smile, unconditional love for her family and friends, her unwavering strength while battling lifetime of illness, and trust in God’s will that was inspirational. The family would like to express our appreciation to the staff of Jackson Friendly Home & Thome Pace Home Healthcare, as well as the compassionate medical and nursing staff at Henry Ford Allegiance for all they have done to care for Linda. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm at the home of Danielle Boquette, in Dexter, MI. Following the service family and friends are invited to share a light meal and special time with the family remembering their beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation to Jackson Friendly Home located at 435 W. North St, Jackson, MI in memory of Linda Rutan.
