Lester Stephen Green, 78, of Avoca, died Fri, Jul 31, 1992, in Mercy Hospital in Port Huron.
He was born Oct 15, 1913 in New Haven, the son of the late Gilbert and Isabell Rose Green. His marriage to Margaret Robbins was Dec 6, 1968, at Mount Clemens.
He had been an employee of an electrical utility company and a hospital for many years prior to his retirement.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Margaret, are three daughters, Cheryl Bishop and Gail Scuholz, both of Yale, and Lorraine Kelsch of Ferndale; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Schrade and Beatrice Ayers, both of Mount Clemens, and Evelyn Smyser of Kalamazoo; and many nieces, nephews, close friends and neighbors.
Preceding him in death was a son, Gilbert, and a sister, Margaret Kepsel.
Funeral services are 11 am Wed at the Kaatz Funeral Home in Avoca. The Rev. Victor Studaker of Avoca United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lambs Cemetery.
Visitation is 7 to 9 pm Tuesday.
