Lauren Baker Godley, 83, of Rogers died November 9, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born May 27, 1925, in Rogers to William Garrett and Georgia L. Eaves Godley.
He retired from Southwest Bella Telephone Co. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of VFW Post 40 and 8 and First Christian Church in Rogers.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, David Williams.
Survivors include his son, John Godley of Rogers; his daughter, Cathy Williams and husband Warren of Benton; his sister, Louise Ritschel of Tahlequah, OK; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1pm Wed at Rogers City Cemetery.
