Larry Kniss, 56, of Grand Rapids, passed away Sep 26, 2001, at his home.
He was born on Jan 4, 1945 in Flint, to Lyle and Joyce (Darke) Kniss.
Mr. Kniss graduated from Bellaire High School in 1963 and served in the Air Force from 1963 until 1971. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed his work as a skilled craftsman and was employed by Store Craftsman in Grand Rapids.
He is survived by his loving family - parents, Lyle and Joyce Kniss of Bellaire, daughter, Shannon (Will) Whitecotton and granddaughter Elizabeth, all of Prior Lake, MN; a sister, Jo Ann Church of Wyoming, MI; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Cheryl Nobel.
Funeral services were held at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Pastor David L McCool of the Church of the Nazarene in Kalkaska officiated. Interment was at Oliver Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association. Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home.
