Kenneth W. Beaver, Jr., 16, of Kalkaska, died Saturday morning, Sept. 9, 1989, at Munson Medical Center.
Kenneth had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska. He was a junior at Kalkaska High School, and was enrolled in the heavy equipment repair program at the T.B.A. Vocational Center. He enjoyed hunting.
He was born in Traverse City on Dec. 8, 1972, to Kenneth and Starlett Mitchell Beaver.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Kenneth and Georgia Beaver of Kalkaska; his mother, Starlett Mitchell of Grawn; one brother, Kyle Beaver at home; two stepsisters, Jessica Sprague and Kim Sprague both at home; his grandparents, Francis and Bernice Helse of Baldwin, Al and Ann Mitchell of Elsie, and Mary Lambert of Battle Creek; 10 aunts, 11 uncles and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lloyd Beaver.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 12, 1989, at the Kalkaska Church of Christ. E. Dan Johnson and Tim Watkins officiated. Burial was in Excelsior Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
