In Memory of
Kenneth Sytkowski

BIRTH: 11 Oct 1947

DEATH: 28 Aug 2012 South Boardman, Kalkaska, Michigan

Thank your for your service

Our daddy, Kenneth "Kenn" Sytkowski, was a fighter. Kenn left two weeks shy of his graduation from Codey High School to join the service. He fought for his country in Vietnam as a US Marine, where he earned a Purple Heart and National Defense Service Medal.

He married the former Linda K Floyd on Sep 18, 1970, in Detroit. They lived and raised their three children in South Lyon, where he fought fires for the Lyon Township Fire Department for more than 10 years.

Kenn retired from Ford Motor Co after 22 years of dedicated service and fulfilled his lifelong wish and moved up north where he built his dream home in 1996.

He fought through over a dozen surgeries and several heart attacks throughout his life, always keeping track of his stitch count.

His favorite fight was on the lake with a fish on the end of his line. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, and raising chickens. He fought until the very end when he passed away Tue, Aug 28, 2012 in the comfort of his own home in South Boardman.

Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Linda, his loving children, daughter Jennifer (Sytkowski) and Edward Folts of Jackson, son, Joseph and Amy Sytkowski of Vail, AZ, and daughter Jessica (Sytkowski) and Steven Vine of Stockbridge; and his cherished grandchildren, Austin Vine, Avery Sytkowski, and Baby Folts, who is due in November.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Irene (Dobies) Sytkowski.

Kenn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives he touched. You no longer have to fight, Daddy. Rest in peace.

Services for Kenn will be held at a later date.
