Keira Ann Leffingwell, 4, passed away in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 6, 2022, surrounded by her family. Keira was born March 13, 2018, along with her twin brother Kyler, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the beloved daughter of Catira Mercer an Tyler Leffingwell. Keira was born prematurely at one pound, six ounces. She was a fighter however, making trips to Boston Children's Hospital twice for open heart surgery and many procedures. She was a proud and loving big sister to Arvella, and held a very special bond, that only twins can, with her twin brother Kyler. Keira was taken too early, but in her time, she touched the hearts of everyone she met, and made lasting memories with all. Keira will be missed by all and remembered as a loving daughter, niece, sister, granddaughter, and princess. Keira will be lovingly remembered by her parents Catira Mercer and Tyler Leffingwell; twin brother Kyler Leffingwell; little sister Arvella Leffingwell; Nana Colby; Papa Corey; Uncle Justin; Uncle Corbyn: Uncle Shaun; Grandma Lisa; Grandpa Jessy; Aunt Kassidy; and Uncle Noah. She was preceded in death by her great grandpa Tony Leffingwell; cousin Karin Kubacki; and Aunt Tonya King-Boose. The funeral service will be held at Kalkaska Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 12:00 pm, the family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service. A luncheon will be held at The Kalkaska Church of Christ immediately following the service. In remembrance of Keira, the family would like you to consider a donation to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Child and Family Life Program.
