Mrs. Karen D. Sewell, age 64, of Gaylord, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008. She was born in Montmorency County on June 14, 1943, the daughter of Russell & Cora (Blake) Huff.
Karen was retired from the Johannesburg-Lewiston Schools and attended the Johannesburg Christian Church.
She enjoyed making pies, crocheting, hunting, playing cars and restoring furniture, and loved family gatherings.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her children, Ken (Cathy) and John (Barb) of Gaylord, Dennis (Emily) of Johannesburg, Alicia (Randy) Hesselink and Bridget (Scott) Coffey of Rudyard; 10 grandchildren; brothers & sisters, Jim, Don , Richard (Theresa), Keith (Sherry) Huff, Hazel DuPont and Fern (Stanley) Kwapis, all of Johannesburg, and Elaine (Larry) Thompson of St. Helen.
Her sisters, Jean Buc and Carol Kocur, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 11am from the Gaylord Community Church, Pastor Scott Scheer, officiating. Visitation at the Nelson Funeral Home will be held on Thursday from 4 to 9pm and at the church on Friday from 10am until the time of services.
