Judith Ann Keranen, 52, of Kalkaska, passed away quietly on Thu, Oct 6, 2011. She was born to Jean and the late Larry Kleinow on Sep 24, 1959 in Royal Oak where she grew up and attended school.
Judy studied cosmetology but her passion was cooking. The food on her table was delicious and plentiful. Judy worked in food service in various places, including the Grand Traverse Resort, Kalkaska Senior Center, and Northland Foods. She enjoyed sports like snowmobiling , boating, and 4-wheeling. Judy loved gardening and her flowers decorated various places in her home.
She is survived by her husband, John; her children, Kendra, Brittany, and Tiffany (Ken) Wisnieski; her mother and step father, Jean and Norm Loren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home at 2 pm on Sun, Oct 9, 2011 with Pastor Ted Turanski officiating.
Memorials may be given to The Education Fund for the Children of Judith Keranen.
