Judith Ann Thompson passed away peacefully on Dec 21, 2002. She was 68.

Judy, the daughter of John Hollebeck and Marie Serdyn, was born in Royal Oak Jul 18, 1934.

One of the original modern women, she balanced school and work in banking and professional dance training before graduating from Royal Oak High School in 1952. Judy appeared in several musical shows in Detroit and New York - attaining professional status as a ballet and tap dancer.

In 1954 Judy married her high school sweetheart, Larry Thompson, a year after he was sent to Army basic training for the Korean War.

Judy and Larry settled in Chicago in 1958 where family became the priority for Judy who had three sons; David, Daniel, and Russell. In 1970 Judy and Larry moved their family to Chesterland, OH. A loving advocate and teacher, her sons became an engineer, doctor, and aviator.

During the late 70's Judy again focused her intelligence and wit in developing her professional career and became an IRS Enrolled Agent and the manager of H&R Black Executive Tax Service in Cleveland. Using this experience she earned a degree as a certified financial planner and successfully helped clients, friends, and family put their money to work in a variety of profitable financial instruments.

Retiring in the early 90s, Judy and Larry spent their summers on the Manistee River near Fife Lake, and winters in Florida.

Judy was able to enjoy her grandchildren Dakota and Casey, traveled extensively in the US, Canada, and Mexico, and enjoyed more time with her stepmother Beulah Hollebeck of Floral City, FL.

Judy and Larry were married for 48 years.

To her family and friends, Judy will always be remembered for her intelligence, integrity, grace, and constant support. We are all better people because she was part of our lives.
