Joyce Ione Long, 73, a resident of Kalkaska since 1973, died Wed, Apr 25, 2001, at her home.
Mrs. Long resided in Alden prior to moving to Kalkaska. She enjoyed gardening, watching wildlife, hunting, fishing, and garage sales.
Born in Custer Township of Antrim County, she is the daughter of Oney and Freida Authorson Lanning. She married Samuel Long in Kalkaska on Jun 1, 1973. He survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Connie (Brad) Raby and Pam (Kelly) Countryman, both of Bellaire, and Debbie (Wayne) Bubar of Fife Lake; sister, Arlene Belanger of Williamsburg; and grandchildren, Stephanie Murden, Eric Belcher, Jamie Molski, Howard Countryman, and Hannah Countryman, several nieces and nephews.
Brothers Ward, Lyle, and Wayne, and sisters, Hazel, Ethel, Dana, and Leota, preceded her in death.
Memorial services were Apr 30 at Kalkaska Church of Christ; E. Dan Johnson officiated.
