John "Jack" Hopp Jr, 78, of Fife Lake, died Mar 12, 2001.
Mr. Hopp resided in Walled Lake until 1986, when he moved to Fife Lake. He was a retired tool and die maker, and served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, and gardening.
He was born in Detroit on Mar 5, 1923, the son of John and Ethel Svatos Hopp. On Jun 21, 1948, in Detroit, he was married to Muriel Ruth Hill. She died on Oct 28, 1979.
Surviving are daughter, Darleen Walker of Walled Lake; grandchildren Todd and Heather Walker; and hsi dog Rusty.
A sister Darline preceded him in death.
Funeral services were Mar 14, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; E Dan Johnson, pastor of Kalkaska Church of Christ, officiated. Cremation followed funeral services.
