John H. Ruehl, 65, of Kalkaska, died Tuesday, Oct 30, 1990, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mr. Ruehl recently moved to Kalkaska from Walled Lake. He was the business manager of Thomson Sand and Gravel Company in Northville prior to his retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Ruehl was born in Detroit on Jan 1, 1925 to John H. and Dorothy Arnett Ruehl. On Nov 15, 1943, in Detroit, he was united in marriage with Lynn Merrihew who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Judy Bergtold of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Jennifer DeKold of Clarkston; one sister, Mary Kline of Plainwell; and three grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday, Nov 2, 1990, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska. Father Patrick J. Barrett officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
