John H. Evans, 77, of Fife Lake, died Wed, Apr 30, 1997, at Munson Medical Center.
Mr. Evans moved to Fife Lake from Wyoming, MI in 1981. He retired from General Motors in 1980, and was a member of the Kalkaska Moose Lodge, the Grand Traverse Snowmobile Club, and the Fife Lake Ridge Runners. He enjoyed snowmobiling and hunting.
He was born Apr 29, 1920, in Grand Rapids. On Oct 20, 1941, in Grand Rapids, he married Edith Swiers, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters Peg (Bud) Cook of Jenison, Pat Thomet of Fife Lake, and Nancy (Ed) Klein of Wyoming; three sisters, one brother, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two half-sisters.
No services were planned.
