John H. Brucker, 83, a retired tool and die maker from Kalkaska, died Friday, Nov 17, 1989, at Munson Medical Center.
A Kalkaska resident for the past 26 years, he retired after working 38 years at Western Electric Co. in Lyons, IL.
He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska. A life member of the Knights of Columbus, he belonged to Council No. 7419 in Kalkaska. He was past president of the Lyons Mustangs Athletic Club.
Born July 19, 1906, in Staunton, IL, he was the son of John and Frances Beckham Brucker. On June 4, 1927, in Lyons, he married the former Evelyn B. Zace, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jack L. Brucker of Lyons, IL, Philip M. Brucker of Las Vegas, NV, and Robert J. Brucker of Kalamazoo; one sister, Della Weber of Oklahoma City, OK; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, Nov. 20, 1989, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Father Patrick J. Barrett officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
The Rosary was recited Sunday evening at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
