The bodies of Ernest Demmon and John Barr, who were drowned in Long Lake, Solon township, Kent county, arrived in Fife Lake Monday on the noon train and were buried in one grave in the Springfield cemetery. The remains were accompanied there by six Odd Fellow and six American Legion boys.
The parents of John Barr live in Ireland. Ernest Demmon's parents live about two miles east of Fife Lake. The two boys had been companions ever since enlisting in the army.
