John B. Weston, 82, of Holmes Beach, FL, died Sep 18, 2003, at his home. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Mr. Weston moved to Manatee County, FL, from Traverse City in 1975.
He previously had lived in Kalkaska for 24 years. He retired from Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Inc, as secretary/ treasurer after 30 years in 1978. He was a former member of the Rotary Club and a former Mason. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; daughter, Deb Ketola of Punta Gorda, and a stepdaughter, Krisanne Rea of Hamburg, MI; sons, Robert of Brainerd, MN, and Brent of Saugus, CA; stepsons, Kip Goosens of Rutherfordton, NC, and Tom Goosens of Alpena; a brother, Dale of Milford; 14 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorene "Pink"; his parents; brothers, Bill and Ron; and sister, Marjorie.
