John A. Branderhorst, 57, of Rapid City, died Tuesday, Nov 20, 1990 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Branderhorst was a carpenter, and lived in the Rapid City area since 1943. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and travel.
Mr. Branderhorst was born in Cook County, Ill. on January 20, 1933 to Ralph and Geneva VanZanten Branderhorst. On June 20, 1975, in Bellaire, he married Nancy Olds who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Robert J. Branderhorst of Bryan, Tex.; one daughter, Ann Priest of Bryan, Tex.; three stepdaughters, Margie Williams of East Jordan, Georgiana Minton of N. Carolina, and Stephanie Bishop of Onaway; his mother, Geneva Branderhorst of Kalkaska; one grandson and eight stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 23, 1990, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated. Cremation followed funeral services.
