Joe Phillip Stubblefield, 78, of Mason, MI, passed away Jan 15, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jul 27, 1936 to William and Lola (Phillips) Stubblefield in McKenzie, TN. Joe retired from General Motors after more than 35 years of service. Joe never met a person he didn’t like or wouldn’t help. He was a loving husband and father who treated his family to many memorable trips and outings at the cottage.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; sister, brother in law, in laws, and great granddaughter.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Marlene; sons, Joe (Therese) Stubblefield, Rick (Linda) Stubblefield, and Phillip (Caryn) Stubblefield; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Terry Stubblefield (Roger Myers, friend); and brrther in law, Mort (Nancy) McKillop.
Funeral services will be held Mon, Jan 19, 2015 at 1pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing. The family will receive visitors on Sun, Jan 18, 2015 from 2-5pm and also for an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.
