JoAnn Nice, 58, of Kalkaska, passed away suddenly on Mon, Apr 3, 2006.
Born on Feb 13, 1948, in Detroit, she was the daughter of Laverne and Theresa Lininger.
JoAnn married George P Nice in Jul 1966 in Dearborn. They have been residents of Kalkaska for more than 30 years.
JoAnn was employed at the Kalkaska Marathon Station. She enjoyed yard sales, going to the casino, and all kinds of crafts. She was also an ordained chaplin and could marry couples. JoAnn enjoyed her family and was very proud of her grandchildren.
Surviving JoAnn is her husband, George; daughters, Renee (Donnie) Hendry and Shelley (Mark) Zingg, all of Kalkaska; grandchildren, Carri Hendry, Katie Hendry, Mark Zingg, Theresa Zingg, and Courtney Nice; sister, Mary DeMatteo of Lincoln Park; and brother, Henry Lininger of Kalkaska.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Kenneth Allen Nice in 1995.
The funeral service was held on at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The Rev. Paul Karges of the First Christian Church of Traverse City officiated.
