Joann E Birch, 86, of Kalkaska, died Sat, Jul 15, 2000, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Birch was born in Assawoman, VA, on Apr 29, 1914, to George and Margaret Daneker Bundick. She married Howard Birch in Snow Hill, MD, on Jun 28, 1934. He preceded her in death on Mar 27, 1953.
Mrs. Birch resided in Pennsylvania and Virginia until three years ago when she moved to Kalkaska. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a kindergarten teacher. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter Barbara (Harold) Snyder of Kalkaska; grandson John Snyder of Jackson; great grandchildren Jessie Snyder of Tennessee and Brandon Sanford of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends to honor the life of Joann Birch was Jul 17 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
