Joan G. McGinn, 79, of Battle Creek passed away Fri, Apr 16, 2010 at Calhoun Medical Care Facility. She was born Oct 1, 1930 in Battle Creek the daughter of Clarence and Pearl (Gray) Ward. She married Albert N. McGinn on Jul 8, 1948 in Angola, IN and he preceded her in on Apr 15, 2005. Joan had worked for H.B. Sherman for 21 years. She was an avid bowler and she loved to watch baseball and the Olympics. Joan enjoyed helping others, to know her was to love her. She loved her children and grandchildren and she just adored her great grandbabys.
Surviving are her children, Ronald (Mary) McGinn of Henderson, MD, Susanne (Dan) Strowbridge, Deborah (Mike Simmons) Willavize, Juli McGinn, Nancie Miller, David Turner all of Battle Creek; brother and sister, Leon “Bud” (Kay) Ward, Joyce Glyshaw; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held Wed 11am at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Memorial tributes may be made to Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. Burial of cremated remains will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
