Jerry L Wilkerson, 67, a resident of Mancelona for the past three years, died Thu, Feb 1, 2001, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mr. Wilkerson was born in Centerville, IA, on Apr 12, 1933, son of the late Leon and Georgia Bryant Wilkerson. He married Kay Clarkson in Las Vegas, NV, on Aug 31, 1992.
Prior to moving to Mancelona, he had resided in Algonquin, IL, where he had been employed as an engineer for the U.S. Government. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Council 7419 and the Grand Traverse Assembly. He enjoyed nature and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife Kay; sons Jerry Wilkerson of Crystal Lake, IL, and Jim Wilkerson of Las Vegas, NV; daughter Debbie Vicicondi of Illinois; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service were Feb 5 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Father Patrick Barrett officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
A Knights of Columbus Rosary was recited Feb 4 at the funeral home.
