Mrs. Jeanne E. Parker, 82, of Rapid City, died Friday, Feb 15, 1991 at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Parker had been a resident of Kalkaska County since 1971 after moving from Plymouth. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, she retired as a school teacher. She had taught in the Plymouth and Detroit School systems. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed collecting plates and dolls.
She was born on June 18, 1908 in South Range to Jay and Mary (Warbler) Lawson. On June 27, 1929 she married John Parker, who preceded her in death on July 26, 1975.
Surviving is one son, David Parker of Rapid City; one sister, Corinne Brewer of California and three grandchildren.
One brother, Nat Lawson preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb 18, 1991 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska. Rev. Ted Turanski officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church Monday School program.
