Mrs. Jean Tackx, age 84, passed away at her home, Sat, Aug 25, 2007, surrounded by family. She was born Mar 20, 1923 in Muskegon, MI. The former Jean Gillespie married Paul Tackx on Sept 12, 1953 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Ravenna, MI. She was a member of St. Jean’s Catholic Church and past Miss Muskegon in 1941. She is survived by her husband, Paul; 2 sons, William (Patricia) Ingalls, Jr. of Muskegon, MI and Joseph Tackx of Fruitport, MI; 1 daughter, Paula Adkins of Norton Shores, MI; 4 grandchildren, Mason Adkins, William Ingalls II, Lloyd (Sue) Ingalls, and Joe Ingalls; 4 great-grandchildren, Adam Ingalls, Sara Ingalls, Amy Ingalls, and Joey Ingalls. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Sophia Gillespie; 1 brother, Raymond Gillespie; and 1 sister, Leta Jones. Funeral Mass: According to her wishes there will be a private mass held at a later date.
