Janita P. Mack Taylor, age 93, of Kingsley passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions. She was born May 10, 1918 in Greenwood Twp., to Orla and Nettie (Melvin) Adams.
On March 7, 1936 Janita married the late Eldred Mack in Traverse City. She worked for many years at Munson Hospital and the State Hospital in Traverse City as a house keeper. Janita was a member of the Good Neighbors Club, Evergreen Cemetery Association, and the American Legion Auxilary.
She is survived by Gayle (Chuck) Klingshim of Kincheloe and Bill (Sharon) Mack of Traverse City; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Janita was preceded in death by a son Wayne Mack and 2 husbands: Eldred Mack and Harold Taylor.
A funeral will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Grand Traverse Pavilions, who took wonderful care of Janita for the 10 years she was there.
