Janet Lou Runyon Thomas, 73, of Arley passed away on May 17, 2011 in Cullman.
She was born on Jul 15, 1937 in Spring Valley, IL. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, James Allen Thomas (Michelle) of Hanceville, Gary Nolan Thomas of Cordova, Danny Ray Thomas and Bobby Joe Thomas (Robin) of Arley; daughters, Carol Jean Whaley (Butch) of Lakeland, FL, and Brenda Lee Snyder (David) of Arley; sister, Ruth Ann; she was Granny and Maw Maw to 14 grandchildren, Dusty, Joshua, Nolan, Kim, Christy, Sissy, Andrea, Dillon, Bradley, Samantha, Jessica, Holly, Justin, and Benjamin; and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Nolan Oscar Thomas “Brownie”; and her parents, Ralph Louis Runyon and Zura Mae Patton Runyon.
Visitation will be held on Fri, from 6 to 9 pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison where services will be held on Sat at 2 pm. Brother Alvin Alvis will officiate. Burial will be at Bethel #1 Cemetery in Arley.
