Janet L Meeker passed away on Tue, Oct 24, 2006, at her home in Kalkaska. Born on Oct 9, 1961, in Howell, she is the daughter of Gary and Jenny (Durham) Farr.
Janet graduated with honors from Kalkaska High School. She was a reserve deputy with the Kalkaska County Sheriff Department for several years. She enjoyed golfing, reading, and spending time with her granddaughter. Janet was a member of the Moose Lodge in Kalkaska.
Surviving Janet are her children, Michelle (Ben DePeel) Meeker of Mancelona and Lesley (Michael) Jago of Newberry; her granddaughter, Zhoe Meeker; her parents, Gary and Jenny Farr of Williamsburg; her grandmother, Wanna Durham of Kalkaska; siblings, Jackie (Art) Rapoza of Kalkaska, Robert (Sonya) Farr of OK, Wayne (Sue) Farr and Lonnie (Machelle) Farr, all of Kalkaska; and several nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Farr in Jan 2005.
A memorial service was held on Sun, Oct 29 at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Stark officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
