James Shephard, 69, a lifelong resident of Maple Valley Township, died Sun in Marlette Community Hospital after a long illness.
He was born Jun 12, 1898, in Brown City and married Gladys Molesworth Mar 3, 1920 in Yale. She died in 1931.
He married Mary McNally in Lexington, February 12, 1944.
They farmed together in Maple Valley Township.
Mr. Shephard is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Eunice Kramerich, Leonard, MI; four sons, William Shephard in Lake Orion, George McNally of Montcalm, CA, James McNally of Orange, CA, and Gary McNally, Warren; 11 grandchildren, a great grandson and two sisters, Mrs. William Vanderwalker, Sandusky, and Mr.s Mary Knowlton, Flint.
Remains were in Carman Funeral Home, Brown City, where services were conducted Wed with the Rev. John Burnham, pastor of Omard Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Omard Cemetery.
