James Jackson, 36, of 67 Lansing avenue, died at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac at 2 am Sunday as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident near there Saturday morning.

Mr. Jackson was riding in a car driven by a relative, Charles Lanning of Missaukee County, when a tire blew out. Both were taken to Mercy Hospital.

Mr. Jackson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Jackson of 68 Lansing, had been visiting this summer in Missaukee county, his birthplace.

Once operated a garage.

With his brother, Leo, who lives at home, Mr. Jackson had operated a small garage here, shortly after his brother returned from service in the army. Prior to that Mr. Jackson had been an employee of the Rich Manufacturing Corp.

Mr. Jackson was born Jun 23, 1911, coming here with his family at the age of seven. He had lived here since.

Surviving besides his parents and the brother, Leo, are three sisters, Mrs. James (Mary) Bramble of 34 Windsor Terrace, Miss Florence Jackson of 897 East Michigan Avenue and Miss Dorothy Jackson, at home.

The entire family left early Saturday morning for Cadillac after hearing of the accident.

Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday at the Bostick Funeral Chapel in Manton.
