James H. Riegler, 55, a resident of Rapid City for the past 12 years, died Sunday, July 1, 1990, at Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital.
Mr. Riegler had lived in Grosse Pte. Woods, and was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone for 22 years. He was a member of the Elk Rapids Masonic Lodge and the Milton Township Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was born in Grosse Pte. Farms on April 28, 1935, to John and Katherine Kleinfelder Riegler. He was married on May 5, 1956, in Grosse Pte. Farms, to Mary Jane Reno who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, James H. Riegler, Jr., and Thomas Riegler both of Rapid City, Richard Riegler of Kalkaska, and William Riegler both of Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Linda Riegler of Kalkaska, and Lori McKinnon of Rapid City; one brother, Henry Riegler of St. Clair Shores; and 13 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church on Thursday, July 5, 1990. Father Patrick J. Barrett officiated. Burial was in Clearwater Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
