James Eugene Tester, 60, of Kalkaska, passed away on May 16, 2010 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born on Jul 19, 1949 in Detroit to the late George and Violet Tester.
James moved from Brighton to Kalkaska in 1968. He married Grace Elizabeth Schleben on Oct 10, 1981. James retired from Morris Security of Bellaire. He enjoyed restoring cars and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Surviving James are his devoted wife of 28 years, Grace; his loving children, James E. Tester II of Brighton, Scott J (Mary) Tester of Kalkaska, Annette Earl of Owosso, Elizabeth Schleben of Indian River, James Russell of Kalkaska, Kyle Russell of Gaylord, and Mike Miller of Kalkaska; his dear siblings, Sue Harper of Kalkaska, George (Sherry) Tester o fOK, Bonnie Vanever of Kalkaska, Chance (Marie) Arbuckle of Traverse City, Karen (Chuck) Forbusch of Kalkaska, Penny Arbuckle of Gaylord, Randy Arbuckle of Bad Axe, and Kay Arbuckle of Iron Mountain; 11 cherished grandchildren; and seven precious great grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for James will be held on Wed, May 19, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The funeral service will be held on Thu at 2 pm at the funeral home.
