Jack Marcy, 74, of Kalkaska, passed away on Mon, Nov 13, 2006, at his home. Born on Nov 9, 1932, in Alma, he was the son of the late Keith and Mae (Rummer) Marcy.
Jack married Charlene Edwards on Nov 22, 1971, in Riverdale. Together they have been residents of Kalkaska since 1978, moving from Alma. Jack retired from Total Petroleum and then went to work for Turtle Creek Casino for the past six years. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, horseshoes, and baseball. Jack was a great grandfather and his biggest love was spending time wit his grandchildren, playing card games, board games and woodworking.
Jack was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and a life time member of the National Hunters Association.
Surviving Jack is Charlene, his loving wife of 35 years; his children, DeWayne (Brenda) Marcy of Goshen, IN, Jennifer (jerry) Courser of Blanchard, Dawn Spitler of Ithaca, Terry (Stephanie) Marcy of Ithaca, Jim (Melissa) Allore of Auburn Hills, Tami (Dave) Matheson of Charlotte, NC, and Jackie (Kevin) Chaffin of Ithaca; 20 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; his siblings, Ray (Pat) Marcy of Branson, MO, Karen Smith of AR, Dennis (Barb) Marcy of St Louis, Sheila Stites of Alma; Cathy (Don) Stephens of Roy, UT, and Mike Marcy.
Jack was proceeded in death by his brother, Ron Marcy and his sister, Wanda Marcy.
The funeral service was held on Thu, Nov 16, at the Kalkaska Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Jerry Battersby officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
