Jack D. Martin Sr., 92, of Kalkaska, died Sun, Dec 26, 1999, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
He was born in Oriskhany, NY, on Apr 27, 1907, the son of Fred and Clara (Snyder) Rankins. On Nov 19, 1938, in Angola, IN, he married Thelma Gould.
Mr. Martin was employed by Ford Motor Company in Dearborn for 35 years prior to moving to Kalkaska. He was a ticket seller for the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, Lions, Pisons, and the State Fair. He was a member of Mancelona Moose Lodge 2254, and an avid animal lover.
Surviving are wife Thelma; son Jack D. Martin Jr of Lincoln Park; daughter Corrine Cotter of Mancelona; six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and his beloved cats Missy, Kiki, and Tinker.
Private graveside services will be held in the spring in Coldsprings Township Cemetery.
