Jack A. Collins, a lifelong resident of Fostoria, died Tue, Jan 5, 1988 at Lapeer General Hospital. He was 61.
Mr. Collins was born Jul 11, 1926 in Watertown Township, the son of Preston William and Gladys Marie (Harper) Collins. He married the former Wilma Cody on Aug 28, 1948 at Columbiaville. He retired in 1980 from General Motors Buick Division in Flint where he worked as an electrician. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry and served during WWII. He had also been active in local government by serving on the Watertown Township Tax Board of Review.
Survivors include his wife Wilma of Fostoria; three children, William and wife Cheryl Collins of Fostoria, Ginger (Mrs. Joe) Baranic of Caro; and Preston Collins of Fostoria; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 1pm, Thur, Jan 7, at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. Keith Mead will officiate with burial in the Watertown Township Cemetery.
