Irma (Cheney) Richards, 94, died Mon, Nov 3, 1997, at Clark Retirement Community.
Mrs. Richards graduated from Ionia High School and Western University. She taught school in Alma, South Boardman, Kalkaska, Grand Rapids, Sheldon, and Mulick Schools. She was a member of Burton Heights Methodist, lifetime member of Eastern Star; Retired Teachers Association, Women City Club, Western Michigan Alpha Beta Nu P Chapter and volunteered at Clark Retirement Community from 1969 to 1997.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard in 1954.
She is survived by twin daughters Bonnie (Doug) Widmayer and Connie (Jim) Vanlier; grandchildren Dana Listing, Wayne Listing, Charlene (Ted) Heydinger, Patty (Bob) VanDenBrand, Richard (Carol) Vanlier, and Edward Vanlier; five great grandchildren and a sister Lucille Davis.
A Memorial Service was held at Clark Retirement Community Chapel on Nov 7. Memorial contributions may be made to Clark Retirement Foundation.
Arrangements were made by Ofield Funeral Home, Kentwood.
