Mrs. Ilene A. Parker, 78, of Kalkaska, died Fri, Oct 31, 1997, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mrs. Parker had been a resident of Kalkaska for the past nine years, having moved from Black Lake. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and Walled Lake Chapter 528, OES. She enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Born in Detroit Dec 16, 1918, she was the daughter of Conrad and Grace (Dely) Bjork. On Nov 1, 1940, in Detroit, she married Harold Parker, who survives.
Also surviving are sons John (Karen) Parker and Ronald (Kathy) Parker, both of Waterford; sisters Florence Bjork and Grace Bjork, both of Metamora, Alberta Feole of Walled Lake, and Ethel Hoffman of Clarkston; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Brothers Harold and Charles Bjork preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Nov 4, at St Paul Lutheran Church. Rev. Ted Turanski officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
