Ila M. Bard, 72, of Kalkaska, died Saturday afternoon, September 22, 1990, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Bard had lived in Kalkaska County for the past 26 years, after moving from Traverse City. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, and the Coldsprings-Excelsior Taxpayers Association. She enjoyed crafts and sewing.
Mrs. Bard was born in Williamston on April 19, 1918 to John and Hazel Smith Leach. She was married on April 22, 1944, in Lansing to Henry Bard who preceded her in death on March 20, 1987.
Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Joan Post; and three brothers, Floyd Leach, Frank Leach, and Shorty Leach.
She is survived by one son-in-law, David Post of Holt.
Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, September 25, 1990, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Father Patrick J. Barrett, pastor of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
