Mr. Howard A. Waldron, Sr., 68, of Kalkaska, died Tuesday evening, July 25, 1989, at Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital. 

Mr. Waldron moved to Kalkaska from Jackson in 1978 when he retired from Brooks Foundry as a truck driver. He was a Signalman in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. For the past five years, he has been employed at Schuss Mountain. 

Mr. Waldron was born in Jackson on March 24, 1921, to Del and Ruth Smit Waldron. On March 21, 191, in Morenci, he was married to Wanita Howard. She died in 1978 in Jackson. 

Surviving are three sons, John Parma, Frank and Howard, Jr. of Kalkaska; one daughter, Mrs. James (Ronda) Luca of Kalkaska; three brothers, Victor and Charles of Jackson, Delbert of Kalkaska; one sister, Rachel Davis of Jackson; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 29, 1989, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Richard Riley, pastor of the Kalkaska United Methodist Church, officiated. Cremation took place following services at the funeral home.
