Homer B. Briggs, 89, of Kalkaska, died Sunday, August 26, 1990, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Briggs lived in Florida, Fife Lake, and Mancelona, prior to moving to Kalkaska six years ago. He had been employed in sawmills near Cadillac, and had worked in factories in Ohio and Indiana. He was a veteran of WWI and WWII, and enjoyed fishing, birds, and wild animals.
Mr. Briggs was born in Tustin on May 11, 1901, to Burr and Millie Newhouse Briggs.
He is survived by one niece.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated.
Arrangements were made by the Wolfe Funeral Home.
