Hester M. Moore, 61, of Kalkaska, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, 1989, at Provincial House of Traverse City.
Mrs. Moore moved to Kalkaska from Berkley in 1964. She was a member of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church.
Mrs. Moore was born in Prairie Creek, IN on Dec 26, 1927, to Vernor and Flossie Power Keegan. She was married in Terre Haute, IN on Aug. 14, 1943, to Robert Rooksberry who died on Nov. 30, 1950. On Jan. 1, 1954, in Raton, NM, she was united in marriage with Jack Moore. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1969.
One son, Jackie, and one brother, Herman, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Harold Rooksberry of Grand Rapids, and Del Ray Moore of Ann Arbor; one daughter, Gale Ann Dimon of Kalkaska; three brothers, Earl Keegan of Dearborn, Ralph Keegan of Tenn., and Edward Keegan of Ind; two sisters, Retha Beymer of St. Louis, MO and Fern Duchanoy of Hazel Park; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 22, 1989, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Pastor Mark Holston officiated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
