Henry A. Ackerman, 94, of Kalkaska, died Jan 8, 1999, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Ackerman was born in Elkton, on May 29, 1904, son of the late Edmund and Elizabeth Adam Ackerman. He was married to Alice Goodale on Nov 29, 1952.
Mr. Ackerman retired as personnel manager of Novi Equipment Company in 1969, and moved to Kalkaska from Novi in 1980.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Kalkaska Historical Society, and a life member of the National Trout Festival. He enjoyed reading and trains.
Surviving are his wife Alice, son Robert (Ester) Ackerman of Phoenix, AZ; stepsons James Goodale of Walled Lake and Thomas Goodale of Mancelona; grandson Craig Ackerman of Phoenix; six step grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren and two step great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan 12, at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; ; Pastor Larry Fetzer officiated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
