Helen N. Ries, Haslett, MI, Born on Mar 12, 1920 to Howard and Myrtle (Hoff) Youngs in Perry, MI. At the age of 88, Helen went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2008 after complications from a fall. She had a strong will to survive but her body just gave out.
Helen loved spending time with family and friends, attending church, music, nature, and animals. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her infant son; daughter, Sharon Ries; husband of 61 years, George; two sisters; and a nephew.
Surviving are her granddaughter, Michelle (Todd) Nault of East Lansing; great grandson Devin; two nieces and a nephew; and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thu, May 29, 2008 at 11am at Kendon Drive Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church on Thu from 10 to 11am.
