Helen F. Wright, 77, of Kalkaska, formerly of Lansing, died Oct 9, 2003.
She was born Jan 21, 1926, in Lansing.
Mrs. Wright was a bookkeeper for many years with local law firms. She liked the pace and tranquility of northern Michigan. She loved and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a cat lover who treated them like part of the family. She will be deeply missed by all of her loved ones.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, in 1992; brother, Walter Winn; and sister, Marian Butcher.
Surviving are daughters, Maureen (Arthur) Shank of DeWitt and Lee Ellen (Bill) Black of FL; sons, Howard F (Jean) of NC, Fred E of St. Johns, and Frank L of Kalkaska; grandchildren, Arthur H II "Chip" (Sheri) Shank, Adam Francis Shank, Aaron Kenneth Shank, John D (Jennifer) Hoisington, Lisa S Hoisington, Daniel K Hoisington, Sean (Erika) Wright, and Benjamin Francis Wright; great grandchildren, Taiylor Wright, Branden Shank, and Devin Hoisington; brother, Howard (Helen) Winn of Nevada.
Funeral services were held Mon, Oct 13, at the Gorsline-Runciman Co Lansing Chapel, Lansing. The Rev. Tad Jameson, pastor emeritus of Calvary Baptist Church, officiated. Interment followed in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.
