Harry J Stephens, 72, of Kalkaska, died Tue, Mar 30, 1999, at Northern Michigan Hospitals in Petoskey. 

Mr. Stephens resided in Lake Orion until 1986, when he moved to Kalkaska. He was employed as a draftsman for Chrysler Corp for 30 years prior to his retirement. He was a former member of the Pontiac Elks Club. 

Mr. Stephens was born in Pontiac on Jun 1, 1926, to Glen and Bessie Webster Stephens. 

On Jun 5, 1948, in Pontiac, he married Ruth Burder, who survives. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by sons Robert (Gloria) Stephens of Falls City, WA, James (Diane) Stephens of Durand, and Charles (Debra) Stephens of Goodrich; daughters Marie (Randy) Hunter of Clarkston, and JoAnn (Roger) Emery of Brighton; brother Lamar Little of Georgia; and six grandchildren. 

Sister Thelma Sylla and brother Lauren Little preceded him in death. 

Funeral services were held Apr 2, at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Charles Stanley officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
