Harold "Dutch" Stradinger, 79, a lifetime resident of Mancelona , died Sun, May 9, 1993, at home, following an extended illness. 

He was a graduate of Mancelona High School in 1934, and had retired from Mt. Clemens Metal Products, where he was a shipping supervisor. He was a member of St. Anthony Church in Mancelona; a member of the Mancelona Liar's Club, where he was a King Liar; a volunteer fireman, and he served on the Mancelona Village Council. 

He enjoyed working on cars, picking blackberries and mushrooms. 

On Jan 2, 1914, he was born in Mancelona to Jacob and Mary Ann (Greulich) Stradinger. 

He is survived by his son Kenton Stradinger (Bernadette) of Mancelona; four daughters, Peggy Roote (Merle) of Kalkaska, Ardis Councilor (Jerry) of Traverse City, Ann Root (Jesse) of Gaylord and Kay Biehl (Michael) of Mancelona; 15 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and one brother Robert Stradinger (Ilene) of Mancelona. 

He was preceded in death by daughter Beverly DeWent; granddaughter Cheryl Root; five brothers, Adolph, Warren, Fred, John, and Leonard; and three sisters, Theresa Plater, Mary Ann Moore and Margaret Stradinger. 

The mass of Christian burial was celebrated on May 12 at St. Anthony Church in Mancelona with Rev. Father William Zwiefka officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. 

A wake service was held May 11 at the Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona. Memorials may be directed to the Otsego County Hospice or to the Antrim County Cancer Society.
