Harland V. "Hark" Vandergriff, 58, of Rapid City, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1990 at his residence.
Mr. Vandergriff had been a lifelong resident of the Rapid City and Mancelona areas. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a retired construction worker. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Vandergriff was born in Mancelona on June 26, 1932, to James and Ruby Brown Vandergriff. On July 18, 1953, in Waynesville, MO, he was married to Beulah Zimmerman who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, William Vandergriff of Rapid City; and three grandchildren.
Four brothers, Stanley (Dick), James, Jr., Randall, and Glen Vandergriff; and three sisters Eleana Kimball, Marjorie Stiver, and Geneva (Pat) Harvey, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct 20, 1990, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Mark McCool, pastor of the Antrim Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was in Clearwater Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
