A memorial service was held May 2, 1990, for Gordon Earl TerHaar, 61, of Lincoln, who died Sunday, April 29 at his home.
He was born Oct 1, 1928 in Grand Rapids and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Air Force. He married Maxine Curry, Nov. 20, 1970 and they moved to Lincoln seven years ago from Cedarville. Mr. TerHaar was a resident of Kalkaska from 1970 to 1979.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Tina Wilson of Grand Rapids; two sons, Scott and Thor both of Grand Rapids; two step daughters, Debbie Bird Swales of East Tawas and Rhonda Bird Martin of Naples, Fla.; two sisters, Pearl Feterich of Grand Rapids and Jackie of Arizona; three brothers, Larry, Butch, and Raymond, all of Grand Rapids.
The Rev. William Stone officiated at the service at the family home in Lincoln and arrangements for cremation were handled by Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
Memorials may be made to Alcona Hospice or the Alcona County Commission on Aging.
