Mrs. Gladys M. Southwell, 86, of Petoskey, died Tuesday evening, Feb 12, 1991 at Little Traverse Division of Northern Michigan Hospitals in Petoskey.
Mrs. Southwell moved to Petoskey 20 years ago from Kalkaska. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
She was born in Temple on Nov 14, 1904 to Martin and Amanda MacKellar Belcher. On Sept. 10, 1927, in Mancelona, she was married to Phillip Southwell. He died on April 23, 1955.
Surviving are one son, Richard Southwell of Petoskey; one daughter, Phyllis Barber of Petoskey; one brother, Claude Belcher of Kalkaska; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 15 at the People Church in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges officiated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
